Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw outlines India’s technological advancement at ET Now Global Business Summit 2024

In a special address at the ET Now Global Business Summit 2024, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, engaged in a dynamic conversation with Nikunj Dalmia, Editor-in-chief of ET NOW & ET NOW – Swadesh.

The minister in the session conveyed, “There has been a significant focus on transforming and upgrading the existing infrastructure of railways in the country. Prime Minister Modi’s visionary outlook extends 50 years into the future.”

Vaishnaw underscored the pivotal role of bureaucracy transformation under PM Modi’s leadership, citing Indian Railways as a prime example of this paradigm shift.

He elaborated on ongoing efforts to enhance Vande Bharat trains, aiming to export these cutting-edge trains to international markets soon.

Highlighting India’s remarkable progress in the 5G rollout, Vaishnaw proudly stated, “We achieved 5G rollouts within 16 months using Made-in-India equipment, positioning our technology to compete with global standards.”

The minister emphasised the government’s commitment to democratizing technology, ensuring equitable access across all segments of society. “Every citizen, regardless of their socio-economic status, should have access to advanced technology,” he affirmed.

Vaishnaw concluded with a call to action, stating, “If we aspire for greatness, we must embrace visionary plans. PM Modi’s meticulous vision spans every sector for the next three decades. Welcome to Modi 3.0.”

The address encapsulated a forward-looking agenda, showcasing India’s commitment to technological advancement and inclusive growth under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
