Marble-A story etched in Time

Marble is passion for people who work with stone, be it architects or sculptors. The colors and unique designs available today inspire innovative ideas and concepts. Marble is a beautiful and versatile natural stone, which can be used almost anywhere in a house. The ideal spaces for marble applications are living and dining areas, entrance pathways, fireplaces and stairs, among others. It is the inherent exquisiteness of marble that lends luxury to the applied space. Marble is dainty and elegant but also enough tough to withstand the test of time. The strength of marble has made it one of the sturdiest and classiest flooring options available today. To enhance the beauty of any interiors, consumers today have a wide choice of exotic stones to choose from.

Historically, marble has been used for building monuments, idols, statues and palaces. Today, it is the ultimate choice for flooring, wall cladding, kitchen tops, bathrooms, coffee table tops and landscaping applications. The beauty of marble is such that it brings out the aesthetics of its environment. With time, new designs evolved, new sizes and shapes were introduced and most importantly, the quantity that a chosen stone could be made available in became possible. The result of this gradual transition paved way for innovation in engineered or composite marble and quartz surfaces.

Composite or engineered stone is manufactured using natural marble powder which is 96 per cent of the raw material. This marble variant exhibits natural stone traits with qualities of man-made products which include control over colour, texture, porosity and maintenance. The sheer variety in designs and versatility in applications has made this product the most widely used stone today. The application areas can be diverse and be used for both residential and commercial purposes.

Mable flooring is usually priced higher than vitrified tiles or other flooring options but it is extremely durable and outlasts many other less expensive flooring options. When the replacement cost associated with other flooring types is considered, the cost of installing and maintaining an engineered marble flooring make it a far more economical and practical choice. A good marble floor will easily last five times longer than most other flooring options. Other than it being durable, engineered marble comes in a wide range of colors and designs. Engineered marble is also available in several finish treatments which can be customized as per the application requirement.

The thing that makes marble an undisputed winner is that it can be re-polished to breathe new life into it. A simple re-polishing will get rid of any stains and scratches to give the floor a sparkling new look and feel. The ease of cleaning coupled with the bacteria and allergen resistant qualities of marble makes it an ideal choice for flooring. Marble is resistant to moisture and hence cleaning up spills on a marble floor is a simple task. Engineered marble is simple to install, long lasting and cost-effective making it the numero uno choice of our times.
