Meta vs 𝕏: This time in person!

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have challenged each other to a cage fight; date of the face-off subject to confirmation

The internet has been bustling with heated discussion as of late, all thanks to an unexpected challenge. None other than the tech-gurus, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg, have challenged each other to a cage fight, transcending the boundaries of the infamous business rivalry. This has put the virtual world in constant anticipation of “what’s next?”.

On the 6th of August, Elon Musk took to Twitter to formally confirm what had been both a surprising and eagerly awaited challenge. In a concise yet impactful statement, he wrote, “Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on 𝕏. All proceeds will go to charity for veterans.” With that being said, Musk not only solidified the event’s live-streaming plans but also ensured that a noble cause was at its heart.

In response to this announcement, Mark Zuckerberg promptly entered the conversation with a tweet of his own. His response carried a subtly sketchy tone as he replied, “Shouldn’t we consider a more robust platform that can effectively channel funds towards our charitable goal?” In doing so, Zuckerberg subtly shaded 𝕏 for not being a “reliable” live streaming platform.

The highly anticipated cage fight was originally scheduled for a showdown on the 26th of August, a date that had been mutually accepted and confirmed. However, a turn of events has cast a shadow over the preparations, as an unforeseen health issue concerning Elon Musk has emerged, potentially forcing a necessary alteration to the schedule. Musk tweeted on 7th August, “Exact date is still in flux. I’m getting an MRI of my neck & upper back tomorrow. May require surgery before the fight can happen. Will know this week.”
