Accenture’s 2024 acquisition streak: Navisite adds to the lineup

This acquisition marks Accenture's fifth strategic move

Accenture has announced a strategic move to acquire Navisite, a digital transformation and managed services provider.

The undisclosed deal is geared towards augmenting Accenture’s application and infrastructure managed services, with a specific focus on bolstering their capabilities in North America to aid clients in modernizing their IT infrastructure for the era of artificial intelligence (AI).

Navisite, based in Massachusetts, brings to the table a team of approximately 1,500 experts renowned for their proficiency in cloud engineering.

With over 400 cloud engineers holding more than 2,000 certifications, Navisite has extensive experience across various cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and digital technologies, catering to industries such as technology, business services, healthcare, life sciences, and manufacturing.

Accenture North America’s CEO, Manish Sharma, stressed the urgency felt by clients to modernize their enterprises, highlighting Accenture’s pivotal role in assisting them. The integration of Navisite’s skilled team is expected to expedite clients’ cloud transformations, facilitating the establishment of robust digital cores.

Karthik Narain, Group Chief Executive of Accenture Technology, emphasized the challenges many enterprise IT environments face in preparing for the AI era. The acquisition strategically positions Accenture to guide clients in modernizing efficiently through innovation-focused managed services.

Mark Clayman, CEO of Navisite, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating that together with Accenture, they will be well-positioned to scale services and provide practical guidance for clients seeking agile, resilient, and expanding businesses.

This acquisition marks Accenture’s fifth strategic move, following the recent completion of acquisitions such as 6point6, a U.K. technology consultancy, OnProcess Technology, a provider of supply chain managed services, Work & Co, a global digital product company, and management consultancy Vocatus.

These acquisitions align with Accenture’s commitment to enhancing its strategy and architecture capabilities, particularly in cloud, data, cybersecurity, supply chain management, and digital product innovation.

The series of acquisitions signify Accenture’s robust expansion strategy in 2024, solidifying its position  in providing comprehensive digital solutions to a diverse range of industries globally.
