Ayodhya Ram mandir pran pratishtha successful after centuries of longing

"Our Ram has arrived": PM Modi's words spark pilgrimage elation as Ayodhya prepares for millions

After years of controversies, debates, and legal battles, the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya concluded today, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance. Addressing a crowd of over 7,000 people, the Prime Minister delivered a speech following the ceremony, expressing sentiments on the historic occasion. He said, “Today, our Ram has arrived. After a long wait for ages, our Ram has arrived.”

During the consecration ceremony, army helicopters adorned the temple premises by showering flower petals. The 51-inch-tall idol, created by sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru, depicts a five-year-old Lord Ram standing gracefully on a lotus and is meticulously carved from a single block of stone.

The grand event witnessed the attendance of approximately 7,000 VVIPs from various parts of the nation, including actors, sportspersons, industrialists, politicians, and other prominent figures.

On Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared that the 500-year-old dream of the Indian people for a Ram temple in Ayodhya has finally been realised. Speaking in the holy city after the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple, the BJP leader emphasised that it was unprecedented in history for a major community to endure such a prolonged struggle to establish their God’s rightful place. Reflecting on the tragic incident of firing on ‘kar sevaks’ in 1990, he assured that there would be no more curfews or firings in Ayodhya.

He also said, “Ram Lalla will no longer reside in a tent as this great temple has been consecrated for him.”

Before the ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22, Prime Minister Modi observed a strict 11-day ‘anushthan,’ sleeping on the floor and consuming coconut water. He also visited several temples across India in preparation for the ‘pran-pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Mandir and took a holy dip at the Rameswaram ‘Angi teerth’ beach.

Addressing the gathering in Ayodhya after performing rituals in the Ram Temple consecration ceremony, PM Modi extended his congratulations as the long wait came to an end on Monday.

Following the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, PM Modi urged people to, “lay the foundation of India of next 1,000 years; We take pledge to build a capable, grand, divine India from this moment.” He also added, “Ram temple’s construction will set off a firestorm. They should reconsider as Ram is energy, not fire; a solution not a dispute.”
