Wipro and Nokia introduce collaborative 5G private wireless solution to accelerate enterprise digital transformation

Wipro Limited, a prominent technology services and consulting firm, has unveiled a collaborative private wireless solution with Nokia aimed at assisting enterprises in expanding their digital transformation initiatives.

The joint solution is designed to furnish enterprises with a more secure 5G private wireless network, seamlessly integrated with their operational infrastructure. It promises enhanced reliability, mobility, connectivity speed, real-time access to business insights, and the capacity to process large volumes of data with minimal latency. Through the deployment of a dedicated wireless network, enterprises gain the ability to establish an integrated private environment that grants them greater control over performance management and security risk mitigation.

The heightened speed, reliability, and security offered by this technology are poised to empower enterprises to enhance operational efficiencies through advanced AI-driven automation. Initially targeting customers in industries such as manufacturing, energy, utilities, transportation, and sports entertainment, this joint solution will enable enterprises to optimize their operations effectively.

Nokia will contribute its Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) and Modular Private Wireless (MPW) solutions, encompassing both hardware and software components. On the other hand, Wipro will leverage its advanced 5G Def-i platform along with its Industry DOT and OTNxt platforms to provide strategic guidance and industry insights for seamless integration into the enterprise ecosystem.

Wipro will take charge of developing the architecture and design tailored to address the unique business challenges of its clients. Moreover, it will oversee the implementation and management of the end-to-end network to ensure that business objectives are successfully achieved.

Jo Debecker, Global Head of Wipro FullStride Cloud, emphasized the critical importance of data processing, accessibility, and security in today’s digital landscape. He underscored the partnership with Nokia as a means to address these pressing business needs and facilitate enterprises in leveraging wireless private networks to accelerate digitization efforts and access real-time insights for achieving their objectives.
