Swiggy Instamart’s VP Sidharth Satpathy bids adieu; former Amazon marketing guru steps into the role

Swiggy experienced leadership shifts ahead of its IPO, with key employees relinquishing their roles

Sidharth Satpathy, Vice President at Swiggy Instamart, has recently stepped down from his position, adding to the notable departures from the food delivery company’s leadership, as per recent reports. Having dedicated over four years to Swiggy, Satpathy’s role will now be taken over by Anirban Roy, who previously served as Amazon India’s performance marketing head.

Sidharth Satpathy announced on LinkedIn, “Anirban Roy will be taking over my role in Instamart effective this week as I start my next stint – Back in the CPG industry from Monday onwards.”

Over the past 8 months, Swiggy has experienced several high-profile departures, including Dale Vaz, Karthik Gurumurthy, Ashish Lingamneni, Nishad Kenkre, and Anuj Rathi. According to media sources, Gurumurthy is set to launch his own venture named Convenio, while Vaz left to establish Aaritya Tech, a wealthy tech firm.

Satpathy has a professional background spanning four and a half years at a Bengaluru-based food and grocery delivery company. During this period, he spent over two years in a leadership role overseeing the category, monetization, and private label business at Swiggy Instamart, as indicated by his LinkedIn profile.

Before that, Satpathy served as an assistant vice president and headed national and strategic partnerships for Swiggy’s food delivery segment. His extensive experience in the FMCG sector includes roles at Marico Ltd, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, and Johnson and Johnson.

Satpathy said in his LinkedIn post, “Around 5 years back a conversation with Sandeep Mina led me to take a leap into the startup ecosystem Swiggy and what a ride it has been!”
