#PlanetBuddy, an initiative by ET Edge’s Global Sustainability Alliance, is dedicated to a cleaner and healthier planet through sustainable environmental solutions. #PlanetBuddy’s takeover of Connaught Place on World Car Free Day, which is on September 22, 2023, promises an exciting and educational event that encourages eco-friendly transportation choices and fosters environmental responsibility.
Sustainability should be the bedrock upon which we construct our actions, seamlessly weaving it into our daily lives. At the forefront of the #PlanetBuddy campaign are the children, the future custodians of our planet. Within the campaign are educational programs and interactive activities, the goal is to inspire environmental responsibility and innovative problem-solving abilities to confront for the challenges ahead. Through collaboration with renowned Delhi schools and institutes like Presidium Indirapuram, Union Academy, GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Bennett University, this initiative aims to raise awareness about the environmental impact of automobiles, combat climate change, advocate sustainable urban mobility, and usher in a future characterized by diminished air and noise pollution.
Lending Hands Foundation (LHF), a social impact organisation committed to driving positive change across India, is a key partner in executing this campaign.
With support from the Delhi Traffic Police, the event promises seamless execution and safety for all participants as they explore eco-friendly transportation options in Connaught Place.
