Future-proofing your business: Strategies for crafting resilient tech

Some insights by the industry experts from the panel discussion "Crafting Resilient Tech: Staying a Step Ahead of Disruption."

Industry experts came together to discuss the importance of resilience and innovation in the ever-evolving landscape of technology. They shed light on various aspects of crafting resilient tech.

Sigal Atzmon, President, and Chief Executive Officer, Medix Global, emphasised the need for companies to constantly re-invent and re-introduce new technologies. The pandemic presented a great opportunity for businesses to do just that. However, resilience alone is not enough, it must be accompanied by forward-thinking innovations. At Medix, they focus on three parameters when developing new tech- accessibility, proven medical outcomes, and affordability. Technological innovation is the key to incorporating all three.

Ramesh Shanmuganathan, Group Chief Information Officer & Executive VP, John Keells Holdings PLC, highlighted how technology has been a saviour for their company, providing a platform to reconfigure themselves. For them, it is about building inclusive technology that takes everyone along, from employees to partners to end-consumers.

Jeremie Brabet-Adonajlo, Founder & CEO, Pzartech, spoke about the accelerating rate of technological change and the need to figure out what to implement for the right deployment of resources. He emphasised focusing on three parameters- value to the client, the financial viability of change, and the maturity of the tech. Setting KPIs to measure the value created through technological change is imperative.

Atreyam Sharma, Co-founder & VP (Technology), Workshop4me, believes that the greatest opportunity for enterprises is to serve people. Technology can solve commonplace problems, and the way to achieve resilient tech is by moving forward with a focus on legacy infrastructure. It’s important to keep moving irrespective of what the gradient of innovation looks like.

In conclusion, crafting resilient tech requires a combination of resilience and innovation. The accelerating rate of technological change makes it imperative for businesses to stay ahead of the curve and figure out the right deployment of resources. With the right approach, businesses can stay a step ahead of disruption and thrive in a constantly evolving landscape.

The panelists came together for a discussion on “Crafting Resilient Tech: Staying a Step Ahead of Disruption” that was held at the ET Global Business Summit 2023 and was moderated by Ashwani Mishra, Editor-Technology, ET Insights.
