The CEO panel – Unleashing the GenNext of Health Insurance in India, reflected on the disruptions in health insurance industry and possibility of more affordable health insurance in India. Some of the disruptions that came into discussion were – increased awareness about insurance, demand for higher sum assured, and changes in customer expectations about service delivery. Regarding more affordable health insurance, the panelists felt that all parties in the ecosystem need to work together. Reduction in GST rate, more competition in the provider and TPA side and more standardized healthcare delivery were some of the factors discussed for better affordability.
