YES Bank partners with Microsoft to create new banking app

The bank claimed that this would allow it to better meet the varying requirements of its customers for loans, payments, deposits, investments, cards, and other financial services

YES Bank has announced that it is partnering with Microsoft to develop a next-generation mobile application (app) that will give users a customised banking experience. The app, which will provide consumers with a variety of services like online payments, shopping, rewards, and offers in addition to standard banking activities, will be developed by YES Bank using Microsoft’s Azure platform.

The new software will function on Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure for businesses, according to the release. With the aid of the app, Yes Bank seeks to expand a number of services by uniting partners in the ecosystem on a single platform.

The bank says that this will help it meet a wide range of customers’ financial needs, such as those for loans, payments, deposits, investments, cards, and more.

Prashant Kumar, MD and CEO of Yes Bank, commented on the development and said, “Our partnership with Microsoft is a testament to this effort, as we look forward to co-creating a proposition that will offer customers the benefit of transacting, as well as undertaking a host of other activities on a common platform.”

He added that “the proposition will bring in the right mix of convenience and flexibility while being within the realms of a highly secured network of both Yes Bank and Microsoft.”

Anant Maheshwari, the President of Microsoft India, commented on this partnership by saying, “Yes Bank has been embracing the shift from traditional banking to creating personalized, technology-driven customer experiences.”

He added, “We are excited to collaborate with YES Bank on their digital transformation efforts. “Microsoft Azure enables YES Bank with a secure and resilient architecture that helps them build new experiences for their customers.”
