Why you need data observability for your modern data stack

The future of business is cloud-driven, and cloud innovation is enabling immense growth possibilities that can benefit every organization – be it a large-scale enterprise, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, start-ups, or government entities. But with increasingly complex environments, data inputs often scale into the billions of GBs daily, ultimately leading to broadly spread, yet siloed data. While siloed data can be problematic, the situation is exacerbated when monitoring tools are also constrained by silos, leading to significant downtime and delays in identifying and resolving issues. That is why a solution that connects business and operational data — a missing piece in most organizations — is crucial now, and in future.

Elastic Observability, for instance, is particularly relevant in this context as it offers a centralized solution that connects business and operational data  across multiple cloud platforms and data centers.

By leveraging observability solutions, businesses can effectively monitor and troubleshoot their infrastructure and applications in real-time, and proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact end-users. And this is where multi cloud solutions step up as a powerful and flexible answer for managing complex data environments, enabling businesses to achieve greater operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance user experience. While observability tools have been present for many years, with the increase in Public Cloud adoption, large scale penetration of Cloud Native platforms and applications, there is an increasing need to adopt unified observability platforms to manage data across data silos, and to help consolidate the number of tools in use as well as being able to correlate data faster and better.

Today, it is imperative for IT leaders to either equip their infrastructure with a robust unified observability tool, or seek to understand the importance of unified observability platforms as part of initiatives around scaling a proactive IT environment across organizations.
