Automotive aftermarket firm myTVS moves to the cloud

Selects Oracle Fusion Cloud Application to improve financial insights and real-time visibility of the automotive ecosystem supply chains

myTVS, an automotive aftermarket digital platform, and part of the $2 billion TVS Mobility group was facing challenges to improve financial insights and better match inventory with customer demand.

The company delivers services to three million customers, 20,000 retailers and 25,000 garages across the country.

“Our focus has been to deliver convenience to our customers so that they can reach us through any channel and get access to parts accessories, services, etc. The crux of our business is our supply chain. If we don’t manage it with efficiency and resiliency it will be difficult to deliver services to customers,” said G. Srinivasa Raghavan, managing director, myTVS.

Supply chains globally have been buckling under the strain of economic slowdown. We have witnessed disruptions on the logistics front, production delays, over dependence on third parties, and so on.

myTVS’ finance and operations data were dispersed across multiple siloed on-premise applications. It wanted to integrate data across it brick & mortar stores, and digital platforms to improve real-time insights, optimise business processes and reduce costs.

Raghavan adds that there was need to add intelligence in its business in two key areas. “One was to ensure how one can we deliver parts within 4-24 hours across the country, and second, how can we achieve this seamlessly across channels — from our warehouse to the retailer to the garage,” Raghavan said.

To address these challenges, myTVS chose Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications to unify operations and improve business efficiency. With Oracle Fusion Application, the company can now standardise process and create a single source of truth to improve the speed and quality of decisions. This will enable the business to quickly respond to changes in supply and demand.

“More than technology partnership, I will call this as a verticalised partnership with Oracle where we combine supply chain management, intelligence management and the last mile delivery for the business,” added Raghavan.

Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) will help to improve speed and accuracy in reporting, reduce the time to close the books, and help senior leaders make better informed decisions.

“With the depth and breadth of Oracle Fusion Applications and continuous quarterly updates, myTVS will be able to increase efficiency and reduce costs as it scales up operations to meet demand,” said Adrian Johnston, senior vice president, Cloud Applications, Japan & Asia Pacific Oracle.
