Twitter’s classic logo replaced with doge meme: Report

The change from Twitter’s blue bird to doge came after a Twitter user had requested Musk to change the social media behemoth’s logo last year.

In an unanticipated twist, Twitter’s classic logo has been changed to the “doge” meme. Twitter CEO Musk, who took over the social media company in a deal worth 44 billion dollars in 2022, authenticated the update in a post while responding “as promised.”

The popular Shibu Innu doge meme – which is also the symbol of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency – has replaced Twitter’s blue bird logo. However, the new logo isn’t displayed on the Twitter app, but visible on the web version of the social media platform.

Twitter CEO Musk substantiated the new emblem through his Twitter account. He posted the following funny meme to mark the occasion.

A Twitter user had requested Musk to change Twitter’s blue bird logo with the Doge image in a conversation whose screenshot was shared by the Twitter CEO with the heading “as promised”. The conversation happened prior to Twitter CEO Musk’s boisterous takeover of the social media giant last year. During the exchange, the user had suggested that Musk should purchase Twitter and replace the blue bird logo with the doge.

As per a report by Bloomberg, Dogecoin’s value jumped by approximately 30 percent after the doge meme was reflected on Twitter’s homepage.
