New education policy thrust is making India a global knowledge superpower

The Indian education system was excellent and known as “Vishwa Guru” in ancient times. Universities like Nalanda and Takshashila used to attract a large number of students across the globe.

Ancient education system emphasised holistic development which was lost over some time. Education has a vital role in developing knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values which enable people to contribute and derive benefits from a sustainable future.
