Nepal, a landlocked country between two major Asian giants, China and India, is currently undergoing a rocky transition to federalism coupled with political instability. Moreover, the country has been dealing with the devastating impact of COVID-19.  As such, Nepal aspires to not only strengthen and stabilise its economy, but also to open up to the world through enhanced connectivity and accelerated economic growth. Given the country’s internal political instability and tense geostrategic balance, Nepal is in a critical position.
