Rockwell Automation launches new customer experience center

Rockwell Automation has inaugurated its state-of-the-art Customer Experience Center (CEC) in Singapore. This facility, embedded within Rockwell’s Asia Pacific headquarters and adjacent to its largest manufacturing hub in the region, aims to showcase cutting-edge advancements in AI, robotics, and virtual reality.

The CEC is a testament to Rockwell’s commitment to industrial innovation, offering an immersive platform for customers to explore the future of manufacturing and automation. “Our new Experience Center is designed to push the boundaries of industrial innovation. From AI to robotics and virtual reality, industry leaders will witness the transformative power of technology firsthand,” remarked Marcelo Tarkieltaub, Regional Director for Southeast Asia at Rockwell Automation.

The center provides visitors with a comprehensive journey through Rockwell’s latest manufacturing technologies, illustrating the potential of the Connected Enterprise to revolutionize industries in Southeast Asia. It promises to offer insights spanning from the initial concept to the final execution of solutions, catering especially to the manufacturing, mining, and heavy industry sectors in the region.

The establishment of the CEC comes at a pivotal time, with Southeast Asia’s manufacturing sector poised for significant growth. According to Boston Consulting Group (BCG), the industry is projected to contribute up to USD$600 billion annually to the regional economy by 2030. This growth is fueled by the rapid adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies like automation, IoT, and smart manufacturing solutions, driving efficiency and sustainability.

Singapore, with its manufacturing sector accounting for approximately 20% of the country’s GDP, is at the forefront of this digital transformation. Rockwell Automation’s strategic focus on key industries such as life sciences, semiconductors, and consumer packaged goods underscore its role as a catalyst in Singapore and Southeast Asia’s smart manufacturing evolution.

Marcelo Tarkieltaub further highlighted the region’s potential, stating, “Southeast Asia, with its growing AI adoption and robust manufacturing base, is well-positioned to lead in smart manufacturing for the next decade.” He cited Rockwell’s State of Smart Manufacturing Report, revealing that nearly half (44%) of APAC manufacturers plan to embrace smart manufacturing within the next year.

Beyond industry leaders, the CEC aims to inspire the next generation of engineers, scientists, and technologists. By opening its doors to students, Rockwell Automation seeks to support STEM education, providing hands-on experience with industrial technologies. This initiative aligns with the company’s corporate social responsibility objectives, nurturing future talent and fostering a deeper understanding of industrial fields.
