Reset, Relearn, and Rejuvenate are the mantras for employee mental well-being

IPM India committed to Mental Wellbeing of Its Employees

Even as governments, economies, and companies begin to recover, many people are still struggling with the mental exhaustion that stemmed from the pandemic. World Mental Health Day 2022 gives us all a chance to get back to protecting and improving mental health. On World Mental Health Day, many organisations are proactively addressing mental health concerns among their employees and creating awareness about mental health issues.

As part of the week-long activation on World Mental Health Day, the Inclusion & Diversity team at IPM India will host an hour-long webinar addressing many aspects of mental health, such as Coping Mechanisms, Belongingness at Work, and mental health daily, followed by an art-based emotional exercise. The staff will also have access to a wide range of videos, articles, stories, and movie suggestions that raise awareness of mental health.

IPM India Managing Director Alexander Reisch stated that the company’s overarching goal is to increase employee knowledge of mental health issues and to mobilise various activities in support of mental health.

Reish said that IPM’s Reset, Relearn, and Rejuvenate talent management philosophy is deeply rooted in three pillars of employee engagement: sharing leadership vision and direction in a clear, unfiltered, and uninhibited way; giving managers the tools they need to meet the basic emotional needs of their teams; and making it easy for people to talk to each other often, even if it’s just to check in, through formal and informal channels, without interruptions.

Ms. Jasneet Kaur, Director of People & Culture at IPM India, added, “Mental Health Wellbeing is a universal issue however, mental health stressors are different for each employee. As an organisation, we recognise the importance of prioritising employee wellbeing and the different ways in which we can holistically support mental health at work.”

This year’s theme is ‘Make Mental Health and Wellbeing for All a Global Priority,’ and we are using a week-long activation to embrace the hope, unity, and connection that this theme brings. Through this, we not only want to raise awareness about mental health but also show our employees that we care about their well-being and encourage conversations about mental health in the workplace.”
