Namma Yatri Revolutionises Bengaluru with ‘Zero Commission’ Cab Services

Bengaluru-based Namma Yatri unveils its budget-friendly cab services, prioritising fairness for drivers and riders alike

In a groundbreaking move for Bengaluru’s urban transportation landscape, Namma Yatri, the mobility app, officially launched its cab services in the city on Tuesday. Firmly committed to transparency and equitable pricing, Namma Yatri’s team emphasised adherence to the Karnataka government’s pricing regulations through its innovative ‘zero commission’ model.

Namma Yatri’s diverse fleet includes non-AC minis, AC minis, sedans, and XL cabs, with non-AC minis being the latest addition. This expansion aims to resolve frequent disputes between drivers and passengers regarding AC usage, setting clear service expectations while offering competitive rates for budget-conscious travelers and advocating for environmentally friendly travel.

Moreover, Namma Yatri’s services extend beyond conventional offerings, accommodating special requests such as disability-friendly rides, extra luggage, pet-friendly trips, and transportation to public transit hubs. With a current roster of 25,000 cab drivers, the app aims to onboard at least 1 lakh drivers within the next six months.

Since its inception in 2022 amidst regulatory challenges faced by industry giants Ola and Uber, Namma Yatri has positioned itself as a direct link between customers and auto drivers. By eliminating intermediaries, the platform ensures fair pricing for riders while empowering drivers economically. In addition to Bengaluru, Namma Yatri operates cab services in Kochi and Kolkata.

Notably, Namma Yatri has played a pivotal role in supporting auto drivers, facilitating earnings of ₹420 crore to date, and amassing a user base of 60 lakh. As it expands its footprint in Bengaluru, the company remains dedicated to reshaping urban mobility through innovation and inclusivity.
