Maternal mortality rate ahead of SDG guidelines, says Smriti Irani

In this exclusive interview with Smriti Irani, the Minister of Women & Child Development and Minister of Textiles, she tells us that not only is the country way ahead of SDG guidelines in women development goals such as maternal mortality rate but also is being misrepresented globally in terms of data and development indices.

Highlighting policy efforts of the government, she also mentions that she was spearheading efforts to overhaul the textile sector in the country in coordination with other ministries.
