Achieving data center flexibility and faster deployment through integration

Shrinking white-spaces, integration hassles, modular upgrades are all driving forces towards designing smaller, compact, all-in-one data centre infrastructure solutions. Most customers today are enamored with the fact that every aspect of a solution must be accessible from a single point, be it the physical location or via remote monitoring. The digital transformation we will see in the next decade, including the rise of 5G, will take place mainly at the edge of the network.

To create and maintain strong edge computing, solid IT infrastructure needs to be rapidly deployed in remote locations as efficiently as possible. Anticipating this trend with sustainability, today’s need of the hour is designing integrated solutions with built in flexible designs based on modular configurations. With this in perspective, many edge sites need a normalized design approach yet harmonized systems for their data centre infrastructures to allow for easier design, implementation, management, and replication.

How does Vertiv enable flexibility and faster deployment through integration?

Vertiv recently released the Trends 2022 that specifically highlights one of the major trends being Drive Toward Integration. For years, many data center equipment providers have been embracing integrated systems that allow for modular capacity additions, with integrated cabinets and rows among today’s most popular data center offerings.

Understanding integration in data centers:
In 2022, one of the key focus areas in integration is data centers working with providers to better integrate larger systems – all components of the power infrastructure, for example – and deliver seamless interoperability. In the post-pandemic data centers infrastructure, one of the major key focus aspects will be remotely monitoring networking devices and the ease of remote manageability. These could eventually be the keys to enable higher uptime of the IT network for critical infrastructures at the edge.
