Triggers by Joseph Sugarman

A down to earth that delves into the psychology of marketing and is more comprehensive in its approach than the more popular Influence by Robert Cialdini.  The rather hilarious stories and analogies make understanding of the marketing concepts easy, fun and memorable.  As the name suggest, the book ends with a list of triggers and exercises that can be used in the real world to garner the results one seeks. The book offers insight into success and failure both. There are many narratives in this book that act as cautionary tales. While many of the companies in this book are no longer in existence, the conceptual advice still applies. Still relevant 30 years after it was written about insights into the principles of long-term success.
