Intelligent Automation: Must for a futuristic business model

Businesses across the world use technology, digitization, machine learning to optimize their operations, services and profits. The more technologically advanced a company is, the better are its prospects. Indian businesses are not exactly global frontrunners in this aspect, but they are evolving quite fast. Intelligent automation is an amalgamation of two facets of technology – artificial intelligence and automation.

A multitude of Indian businesses use these two facets individually but are yet to adapt to its unified avatar. Intelligent automation simply puts the advantages of machine learning and artificial intelligence into automation to offer far superior business solutions. Implementing intelligent automation has completely transformed businesses and has succeeded in improving operation, innovation and scale.

Implementation of intelligent automation, however, is more of a journey and varies from business to business. Predictive analysis, used case studies and human inputs go hand in hand in formulating business-specific intelligent automation models. Once implemented, it can offer significant business solutions and completely transform customer experiences while increasing productivity and decreasing cost.

In a survey of 523 executives from various industries spread across 26 countries in America, Africa, Europe and Asia, Deloitte found that about 58% had already embarked upon intelligent automation journey. The report also revealed that over 90% of these organizations expect intelligent automation to increase the capacity of their workforce, 26% rise in back-office capability in a period of 3 years and about 17% surge in their business’ operational capacity.

With China losing its sheen as the global production hub due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, Indian companies stand at a crucial juncture today. India can very well expect a surge in international business provided they can match-up the standards of Chinese companies, and intelligent automation will definitely help matters to a great extent in that direction.
