India is adopting smart mobility solutions for seamless connectivity

AI is fast becoming a key enabling technology and the Indian government is actively encouraging the implementation of AI into the daily operations of the transportation industry

India is today, one of the fastest-growing large economies in the world and the coming years will need significant investments in infrastructure and transportation to sustain its growth momentum. These investments in infrastructure together with the transformational impact of today’s technology will see Indian cities evolve into smart cities. This will go together with the evolution of Smart Mobility, which is a revolutionary approach to commuting that promises citizens affordability and ease of use across multiple modes of transportation such as rapid mass transit systems, on-demand mobility solutions, ride-sharing, vehicle-sharing, biking, and walking.

A key enabling initiative is the Digital India Campaign, a focused initiative by the Government to advance artificial intelligence (AI), the internet of things (IoT), big data, cybersecurity, machine learning, and robotics. India’s leading digital project promotes e-travel, e-governance, e-banking, e-education, and e-health in an effort to leverage increased internet accessibility to deliver enhanced public services. AI is fast becoming a key enabling technology and the Indian government is actively encouraging the implementation of AI into the daily operations of the transportation industry.

Integration of Technology for Seamless Transportation:

In order to facilitate contactless payments, automated customer discounts, and simplify travel planning, Aurionpro recently integrated its services in Uttar Pradesh. We make rail and bus travel easier and more efficient for service providers and customers by establishing industry standards for transport operators.

Our innovative mobility experts are streamlining citizen and governmental procedures while redefining the future of transit systems. We use an open loop system, which provides greater flexibility and makes it easier to purchase transit tickets, pay for them, see the fleet, track it more easily, plan routes, and manage departments, among other things.

Contactless services have become the standard norm after the COVID-19 outbreak. In order to address this crucial issue for the Smart Transit segment, Aurionpro introduced contactless Europay, MasterCard, and Visa (EMV) mass transit processing. The EMV technology was also introduced, in order to reduce dwell time, enhance travel time, and provide data and insights. Aurionpro has made precise and trustworthy fund settlement possible by utilizing features such as a deny list, automated debt recovery, and revenue inspection support, further reducing the financial risk for operators.

Contactless Technology – A must in the modern world:

Aurionpro has also launched the SCV500 validator to enable high performance and reliability for contactless payments. This barcode scanner has a certified contactless card reader, an internal GNSS and 4G-LTE module, a fully customizable user interface, and a high-resolution colour graphical display. Wall and pole mount support, a high-performance 2D image engine that can read mobile phone screens, and a high-speed SAM controller are all included in the device.

The solution and services introduced by Aurionpro allow transit agencies to fully design any fare product in accordance with their own business objectives. Agencies can now create, change, or view permissions for Fare Policy Management depending on the related position. We also oversee the charges that transit users make to their accounts. Ridership transactions are established and processed at points of entry (POE) such as buses, gated subway turnstiles, and open platform settings.

One of the key elements of our solution is the Financial Management module, which oversees and reconciles all financial activities, including daily summaries of revenue and ridership transactions, reconciliation reports, and an interface with the General Ledger system of transit agencies. Additionally, we introduced incident management software, which is generally used by transit agencies to create tickets for any issues or inquiries and track their resolution.

Safety Measures for the Roadways:

The General Transit Feed Specification GTFS 2.0 service has been introduced because safety is the top priority for today’s transit operators. This service enables the system to track the location of the bus, its stop information, and any other essential information. We have also offered card-tap services, which enables the tracker to keep track of every time a user taps a card on a validator. The information obtained from passenger card taps is used to calculate rates and stops. The Equipment Monitoring system allows users to keep an eye out for suspicious activity and security lapses while monitoring field equipment in real-time. Additionally, it gives system users the ability to routinely and proactively control field equipment, including GPS Cell Signal, GPRS Accuracy, and Statistics.

Transit processes are now hassle-free and efficient because of the solutions implemented by Aurionpro. Efficient GPS tracking, fare management technologies, and equipment monitoring together contribute towards making citizen safety and vehicle tracking considerably more precise and secure. The streamlined and coordinated procurement procedure has made it easier for transit agencies to install open-loop technologies.
